"Are you sure?" Li Zhanchuan's voice was deep and almost emotionless. His gaze lingered on Lin Chuyue for a moment, as if waiting for her to hesitate.
Lin Chuyue raised her head, took a deep breath, her eyes resolute yet tinged with worry. She knew that once this step was taken, there was no turning back; every step forward would be fraught with unknown dangers. Her choice at this moment had already determined her future direction.
She nodded slightly, her tone calm: "I choose to be with you."
Li Zhanchuan didn't say anything more, only slightly curving his lips, revealing a hint of barely perceptible relief in his eyes, but more so, a deep calmness.
At the conference table, the other partners seemed unfazed, as if they were already used to such decisions. They had long recognized that Lin Chuyue was more than just a simple heir; she was smarter and more decisive than anyone else. And her decisions would inevitably change the entire situation.
However, Lin Chuyue's heart was filled with complex emotions. She knew that she had joined a camp with almost no chance of winning. "What's your father's attitude now?" Lin Chuyue continued to ask.

"I understand." She finally made her decision.

When Lin Chuyue returned home, she saw Lin Zhengguo standing in the living room as soon as she opened the door. Her father had his back to her and seemed to be talking to a business friend; the atmosphere was somewhat serious.
"Dad," Lin Chuyue called softly.
Lin Zhengguo turned around, a hint of surprise in his eyes, but he quickly regained his cold expression. He didn't rush to respond, but looked at her with a scrutinizing gaze: "You're back."
Lin Chuyue didn't speak again, but went straight to the sofa and sat down. She knew that her father had already noticed the connection between her and Li Zhanchuan, and today's conversation was bound to be somewhat unsettling.
"Dad, I've made a decision today." She finally spoke, her tone calm, but her eyes gleaming with determination.
Lin Zhengguo frowned, clearly not expecting her to bring up this topic: "What is it?"
Lin Chuyue raised her head and looked directly into her father's eyes: "I've decided to stand on Li Zhanchuan's side and uncover the truth behind Shen Fang. Will you support me?"
Lin Zhengguo's face immediately darkened, and a hint of anger flashed in his eyes: "What are you talking about? Do you know that Li Zhanchuan is completely unreliable? He's just using you."
Lin Chuyue felt a pang of pain in her heart, but she still insisted: "I know what I'm doing. Whether you agree or not, I've made my decision."
Lin Zhengguo looked at her coldly, a slight smirk playing on his lips: "Fine, you're willing to die for Li Zhanchuan, then go ahead. But you'll never get my or the company's support."
"I don't need your support," Lin Chuyue's voice rang out coldly. "I only want the truth."
She stood up, ready to leave, but heard her father's cold voice: "You'd better remember that the consequences of choosing to side with him will never be as simple as losing your father."
Lin Chuyue didn't look back, and walked resolutely out the door. She knew there was no turning back. And every step from now on would be even more difficult.
