Nirvana Heiress: Reborn and Returning to Stir Up a Storm

Chapter 590 Trust Crisis Begins

Chapter 590 Trust Crisis Begins

The night was as thick as a pot of medicine without water.

Lin Chuyue sat in her office, with the bright lights of the Lin Group building shining outside the window. In front of her were meeting minutes, police case files, asset allocation forms, and the long-term liquidation agreement that had already been initiated.

The war has achieved an initial victory.

But she couldn't feel happy at all.

"Lin Yun hasn't gone abroad yet?" she asked softly.

The secretary shook her head: "Mr. Lin, she is applying for emergency medical access."

"Delaying time," Lin Chuyue sneered.

She looked at the board voting records on the computer screen. Although Lin Zhengguo hadn't voted, he hadn't blocked the passage of Lin Yun's removal motion. This was his tacit compromise, and also the bottom line she had forced out of her father and daughter.

But this one cut also completely severed Lin Zhengguo's last shred of self-respect.

She knew that the Lin family would only become more miserable next.

What's even more terrifying is that she knows the contents of the CD that was anonymously delivered to Li Zhanchuan.

Shen Fang left behind more than one item before her death.

?

I. Li Zhanchuan's indifference

It's 5:30 in the morning.

Li Zhanchuan stood in his study, staring at the surveillance footage playing on his laptop screen.

A blurry but recognizable scene: Outside the Gu family's old house, Shen Fang, wearing a navy blue trench coat and holding a file folder, is talking quietly with Lin Zhengguo in a corner.

Time: Fifteen years ago.

The document bag was clearly labeled "Merger and Acquisition Plan - Gu's Fund Invests in Lin's Development Project (Maternal and Infant Industry Line)"

Shortly after their conversation, Li's mother suffered a sudden cerebral hemorrhage and collapsed in the villa's garden.

This is no coincidence.

Li Zhanchuan looked down; his phone lit up with a message from Lin Chuyue: [The board has decided that Lin Yun is out. Lin Zhengguo has not spoken. We have a little time left.]

He didn't reply.

The next second, he dialed a number: "Find out the source of this video. I need to confirm whether Lin Chuyue had the right to know about that transaction."

The other person paused, then tentatively asked, "You suspect her?"

Li Zhanchuan's eyes were cold: "I suspect anyone who gets close to me."

?

II. Gu Yanchuan's Standoff

When Lin Chuyue returned to the villa, Gu Yanchuan was already waiting at the door.

“You shouldn’t have treated Lin Zhengguo that way.” He began, his tone as cold as if he were experiencing disappointment for the first time in many years. “At least you shouldn’t have confronted him at the board meeting; he is your father.”

Lin Chuyue took off her coat and threw it on the sofa, her face showing exhaustion: "He's not like that anymore."

Gu Yanchuan stepped forward. "You didn't even leave him a single word?"

"I kept it," she retorted. "Can't you hear me?"

She paused, a flicker of doubt crossing her eyes for a moment: "I'm not trying to destroy the Lin family, I'm trying to save it."

Gu Yanchuan's eyes darkened: "Do you know how he'll interpret this? What you want is a purge of power, not communication."

"I have no way out." Lin Chuyue's voice was hoarse. "Do you think I'm willing to stand against Lin Yun? Do you think I'm not afraid of everyone leaving me?"

"But you are making people leave you."

Gu Yanchuan's voice was deep and cold: "Including me."

The air fell silent instantly.

Lin Chuyue's shoulders stiffened. "What do you mean?"

Gu Yanchuan did not answer, but instead placed a thick envelope on the table. “This is a copy of the LP transfer documents for the Vision Fund that I hold. Last night I received an email—an anonymous notification that you are the ‘second signatory’ of this fund structure.”

Lin Chuyue suddenly looked up.

“Of course, I know you weren’t involved.” Gu Yanchuan stared into her eyes. “But the problem is, if even I have to work hard to believe in your innocence—have you thought about how others will see you?”

Lin Chuyue closed her eyes, her chest heaving violently.

"I won't leave you," Gu Yanchuan said softly, "but I'll stand a step away from you and watch how far you go."

?

III. Lin Zhengguo's Counterattack

At the same time, Lin Zhengguo was not idle either.

He met with another veteran of the board of directors, Ji Zhongnan.

Director Ji was a "founding hero" of the Lin family and had some personal feelings for Lin Zhengguo.

“She can temporarily take charge of the situation.” Lin Zhengguo held a thick list of Lin Chuyue’s private fund allocations in his hand, “but she is not suitable to be the future of the Lin family.”

"What do you want to do?" Ji Zhongnan looked at him.

"Remove her from her position as executive director, but retain her nominal position as chairman." Lin Zhengguo's eyes were firm. "She's too radical. Lin Yun isn't entirely without fault, but she's not innocent either."

Ji Zhongnan pondered for a while: "How do you plan to get other people to support you?"

Lin Zhengguo's eyes flashed. "I still have a copy of her mother's mental illness diagnosis report from back then. If she loses control of her emotions, she is not fit to lead the group."

"You're insane." Ji Zhongnan's expression changed slightly. "You're trying to drive her to her death."

Lin Zhengguo lowered his head and took a sip of cold tea: "She's no longer my daughter. I'm just protecting the company."

?

IV. Lin Yun's Counterattack

In another city suburb, Lin Yun lay on a hospital bed, pale-faced, with another unfamiliar man beside her.

“I don’t care if you’re working for Shen Yan or if you want to see Lin Chuyue make a fool of herself,” Lin Yun said. “As long as you can get evidence that she hacked into the board’s data system, I’ll erase the record for you.”

The man sneered: "Do you know what that means?"

“I know.” Lin Yun closed her eyes. “I know better than anyone how to destroy a person.”

"Including yourself?"

"include."

Lin Yun's voice was so soft it was almost inaudible: "I was never a young lady of the Lin family. I was just a dog raised by Shen Fang. Now that she's dead, I'm going to collect her body."

The man nodded and dialed a number: "Activate the backup system and upload the 'mirror transaction' online. Create fake data, enough to make Lin Chuyue unable to clear her name."

?

V. Collapse of Trust

At 9 p.m. that evening, the Lin Group's official website was briefly hacked, and a "fake transaction notification" popped up.

Although it was deleted in less than ten minutes, screenshots had already spread everywhere.

[Lin Chuyue's shady dealings exposed? Was the trading system manipulated long ago?]

[A wave of executive departures? Lin's Group faces its biggest trust crisis in a decade]

Li Zhanchuan declined to comment on whether he would continue to support Lin Chuyue.

In just two hours, the stock price fell by 8%.

Lin Chuyue stood in her office, her phone filled with forwarded notifications and media warnings.

Her phone went unanswered.

Including Li Zhanchuan.
