Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

Chapter 194 Escape

Chapter 194 Escape

"I..." the little mouse said very softly when it saw that I was angry.

"What do you mean, 'what do you mean, 'what do you mean'? Tell me, why did you come in?" I yelled through gritted teeth. Damn it, how am I supposed to lead a team with such a terrible teammate?

"We saw you rush in without saying a word, and we waited for you for so long without you coming out, so we thought something had happened to you and came in to look for you," the white mouse said, sounding very aggrieved, as if it had suffered a great injustice.

Hearing the guinea pig's answer calmed me down a little, but even if he wanted to come looking for me, he couldn't just walk in like that. Did he think it was his own home? And he was just wandering around the lobby of a bar.

To teach the guinea pigs a lesson, I said angrily, "Even if you're coming to see me, you'd better watch yourselves. Just because you're coming to see me doesn't mean you can just swagger around in someone's bar. Who do you think you are?"

Hearing my shout, both the white mouse and Dafu lowered their heads in shame, as if they realized their mistakes. But I still couldn't calm down, and I continued to scold them: "It's one thing for the white mouse to be unaware of this while he's in the lab all day, but Dafu, you've been with me all day, and we've been through so many dangers together. How come you still haven't learned your lesson?"

I was so angry. The more I thought about it, the angrier I got. The angrier I got, the more I thought about it, and I ended up venting all my recent frustrations and grievances in one go.

But those white mice and Dafu were just too obedient. No matter how much I scolded them, they wouldn't say a word. If I said too much, it felt like I was hitting cotton with all my might, and I couldn't exert any force at all.

In the end, I knew there was no point in continuing, so the key was to find a way to escape. So I said, "Do you know you were wrong this time?"

"Okay," Dafu and the white mouse said at the same time, looking aggrieved.

"Alright, be more careful in the future. Don't rush in like a fool, or you'll not only fail to save your friend, but you'll also get yourself killed," I admonished from the side.

"Understood," the white mouse and Dafu immediately replied. Putting everything else aside, their attitude of admitting their mistake was exceptionally good. If I were still angry, it would make me seem petty.

Now that these two have realized their mistake, our most important task is to escape. Just as I was thinking of a solution, a large amount of cold, white air suddenly appeared outside.

What the hell does this mean? To force us out, these people actually used air conditioning, the kind of air conditioning used to punish guests on TV.

But I have to say this trick actually worked. Instantly, I was hit on the head by the cold air and almost fainted from the pain.

The mouse's fur stood on end from the impact of the cold air, and it was shivering all over.

Fortunately, during the final impact, it hit the wall and landed on the white mouse, thus avoiding being swept away.

After I fell onto the white mouse, Dafu immediately grabbed me, afraid that I would fall again, while the white mouse tried its best to use the other side of its body to block the cold impact.

"Twenty-two cents, what do we do now?" Faced with the impact of this cold air, we are clearly in a very dangerous situation. If this continues, we'll freeze to death.

"What should I do? My only option now is to rush out and run upstairs," I cried out anxiously.

"Why upstairs? Shouldn't we be running outside?" The little mouse wasn't really stupid; it still knew to ask such a question at this moment.

"There are already people guarding the entrance. The only place that's not guarded yet is the staircase leading to the second floor," I said hurriedly.

After all, the air conditioning is meant to force us out, so in order to catch the guinea pigs, we have to be prepared. Therefore, it's normal for someone to be blocking the door.

But no one would have thought that a mouse could climb stairs, so surely no one would be waiting at the door, right?

"Now's the time! Charge!" I yelled at the lab rat.

Upon hearing my command, the white mouse immediately rushed outside and headed towards the stairs.

Dafu and I rode our magical pets right under the giant's feet, just like characters from a fantasy novel.

This little white mouse looked plump and white, but its short legs made it surprisingly fast. Before the others could react, the mouse had already reached the stairwell.

However, the height of the stairs was clearly too high for the mouse to climb. Now that it had reached the top of the stairs, the mouse panicked about what to do next.

They clearly didn't know what to do.

"Hurry up and climb the stairs!" I shouted anxiously from the side.

As we all know, as long as there is an electrical wire or network cable, a mouse can run along that wire to the other side. Now I need the mouse to climb from the stair railing to the stair handrail.

Then I rushed up, and the little mouse heard my shout and immediately climbed up the pole. Luckily, nothing went wrong and it made it all the way up.

Once it got up there, the white mouse started frantically climbing the stairs, but then another accident happened. Just when I thought I saw a glimmer of hope...

The white mouse, however, started stepping in place on the stair railing, its feet slipping and unable to climb up.

Holy crap, who made this stair railing? Did they even oil it? It's so slippery! Isn't this a scam? They planned everything, but they didn't foresee this.

I was almost in despair. I never expected to be tricked by a stair railing.

But that wasn't the worst part. Just when I was in despair, a guy carrying a bottle suddenly rushed towards us and started hitting the lab rat.

Holy crap, this is really a double whammy! This is like a bolt from the blue! Before we could even react, the bottle hit the mouse's butt like a golf ball.

In an instant, the lab mouse rushed up to the second floor. Holy crap, you can do that?

In an instant, I felt like I was on a roller coaster, soaring into the sky.

It finally stopped after crashing into the wall. The little white mouse was completely bewildered and couldn't get up for a long time.

"Hurry up, I've hit that rat, I wonder if it's dead or not," the guy with the beer bottle shouted excitedly.

"Damn it, watch out! What's the point of playing if you kill him?" came a very dissatisfied voice from behind.

Then they heard a series of footsteps, which meant that the people were going up the stairs and rushing towards the second floor.
