Chapter 114 With Mom
Chapter 114 With Mom
Every morning, Lin Ruowei would have breakfast with her mother. Her mother would always get up early to prepare a hearty breakfast for her, and the kitchen would always be filled with tempting aromas.
"Ruowei, are you going to the research institute today?" the mother asked with concern while serving porridge.
Lin Ruowei smiled and nodded: "Yes, there are some important experiments to do today."
Her mother handed her a bowl of steaming porridge and said, "No matter how busy you are at work, you must take care of your health and eat a good breakfast."
Lin Ruowei took the porridge gratefully: "Thank you, Mom. I will."
After breakfast, Lin Ruowei took a walk with her mother. They walked along the park near their home, enjoying the morning sunshine and fresh air. Her mother liked to tell some stories from the past, and Lin Ruowei listened quietly, feeling the warmth and peace of mind.
"Mom, what was your life like as a child?" Lin Ruowei asked curiously.
My mother smiled and said, "Although life was not as convenient as it is now, I still have many good memories. We didn't have so many tall buildings back then, and the relationship between neighbors was very close."
Lin Ruowei nodded: "That sounds great. I think modern life is convenient, but sometimes it lacks some human touch."
The mother held Lin Ruowei's hand and said gently: "Ruowei, no matter where you are, as long as you have love in your heart, you can find warmth."
After returning home, Lin Ruowei continued to devote herself to her research. Her mother was busy at home, doing housework and occasionally making some handicrafts. Whenever Lin Ruowei was studying in the study, her mother would always bring her a cup of hot tea, which made her feel very warm.
"Ruowei, take a rest and have some tea." Mother walked into the study with a cup of hot tea.
Lin Ruowei took the tea and said gratefully: "Thank you, Mom, you are always so considerate."
The mother smiled and said, "No matter how busy you are at work, you must take care of your health and not get too tired."
In the evening, the mother and daughter cooked dinner together. The kitchen was filled with laughter as the mother taught Lin Ruowei to cook some traditional dishes that she learned when she was a child. Lin Ruowei learned seriously and enjoyed the time with her mother.
"Mom, the food you cook is really delicious. I must learn how to cook it." Lin Ruowei said.
The mother smiled with relief: "As long as you like it, I will teach you. We will take it slowly."
After dinner, the mother and daughter sat in the living room together, watching TV and talking about what they had seen and felt during the day. Lin Ruowei felt that despite all she had gone through, the time she spent with her mother was the most precious.
One night, her mother took out an old photo album and showed it to Lin Ruowei. The album recorded many beautiful memories of their family. Lin Ruowei felt warm in her heart as she looked at those old photos.
"Ruowei, these are your childhood photos. Look, you were so cute back then." The mother said, pointing to a childhood photo of Lin Ruowei.
Lin Ruowei looked at the photos with a smile: "Mom, thank you for your care and love all the time. No matter where I am, I will cherish every moment with you."
The mother stroked her head gently and said, "Silly child, you are my baby. No matter what happens, I will always be by your side."
Although her life with her mother is full of warmth and happiness, every night when everyone is asleep, Lin Ruowei's thoughts always go back to those ancient times. She misses Gu Yan, Zhao Ruolan and her friends in Liuxi Village, and the hardships and joys they experienced together. Lin Ruowei is often entangled in her heart. She feels as if she is pulled between two worlds, one side is her modern family and life, and the other side is her ancient friends and unfinished mission.
Sometimes, Lin Ruowei would stand in front of the window at night, looking at the starry sky, silently praying in her heart that she could find a way to return to ancient times again. She knew that modern life had her mother's company and support, while the ancient world had her responsibilities and concerns. The balance between the two made her feel entangled and confused.
It was late at night. Lin Ruowei was lying on the bed, thinking back to the time she had spent with her mother during the day. She felt extremely warm and happy in her heart.
