Still searching. I am descendant of Russell Noffsinger,born 1849 Ill.son of LeGrand Noffsinger,born 1827 Kentucky & Elizabeth A. Thompson, born 1834 Michigan. Legrand died abt.1850 Ill, and Elizabeth remarried abt.1851 to Nash Eddy,and Russell became Russell Farmin Eddy. Nash died abt. 1852, and Elizabeth remarried to a Jefferson Rich in 1852.
Russell had been also listed as Rich/Riech under head of household. My Noffsinger's are listed 1850 Census Falls Creek Twp. Adams County Ill.

I just discovered this site. My grandfather was Fred Ernest Nofsker. He had a brother,Murrell. I never knew my grandfather. He died when my Mom.Genevieve Nofsker was very young of the terrible flu of 1918. My mother always talked about his beautiful auburn,curly hair. Do you know of any decendents who have this feature? My Great Grand father was Hugh Samuel Nofsker,born 1863 in PA. He was a wonderful artist. I have his self portrait(quite a handsome man). He also drew a family portrait with his parents,John Henry Nofsker and Mary Jane Groves,plus some Aunts. I like to draw as well,but he was so much more talented.Are there any professional Nofsker artists? I could take a picture of his two drawings and send them to anyone.He was really talented. Also,of interest,he had a twin brother,Emanuel Martin Nofsker. Is there much history of twins that you know of in the family. The family stems from Martin Nafzger. It is funny but my mother always said she was dutch and Irish. Maybe the Irish side is Mary Jane Groves.my Great Great Grandmother. Anyway I had no idea of the Switzerland roots, So great to know all this. I find it fastinating. I wish my Mom was still here so that I could show her all that I have discovered on the internet. Her Mother remarried and she had half and step siblings,but did not know many family member on her Dad's side except her Uncle Murrell. I believe Uncle Murrell had blonde hair not that beautiful curly auburn of my Grandfather

I have just started searching for my Noffsinger ancestors.
My grandfather was E.Mervin Noffsinger b:1877, d:1948 and buried in Crandall Cemetary, Near Cedar Springs, MI. I think his father was Jacob Noffsinger b:1857, d.1932 also buried in Cradall Cemetary.
Can anyone help me out with additional info?

I am a descendant of Rudolf Nafzger thru his son John and his daughter Judy (Judah?). She married Michael Emerick. My grandmother was an Emerick. I have a fair amount of info about this Emerick branch if anyone needs it.

I have four children Casey Adam Cram, Tausha Marie Cram-spelled wrong in the current nafzinger and then Destini Alicia-Cheri Cram and Rosita Amelia-Evonne Ruiz. My last two children were not even included in the book. My mothers name is not in it either her name is Winifred Doris Cram formerly Noffsinger from her father Ralph Noffsinger and her mother Gertrude Inez Noffsinger. Taushas childrens names are Adrianna Maria Cram-Romero said to have been murdered in Mexico 06/13/2004 after being placed their for adoption with her fathers sister, her second childs name is Leticia Itzel Cram-Chavez and her sons name is Leonel Abel Cram-Chavez. Casey childrens names are Anthony
